For the sake of being too nostalgic, and so I don't embarrass myself or others for the lack of substantive things to say, I will only say that without summer memories I would want to sleep through the fall and the winter and the spring.

Washington D.C. is a fascinating place. I have met more job titles, affiliations, and organizations than I have humans. If you were to meet me right now I would extend a business card and say, "Hi, my name is program assistant at the Mansfield Foundation, what use are you to me or to my organization." I haven't sensed yet that people care about learning more than what self-interest dictates they should.
